Located in the heart of San Francisco at 808 Geary St, Anh Hong emerges as a standout Vietnamese restaurant, seemingly without peer in its dedication to the 7-course beef experience. Echoing the sentiments of dedicated patrons, such as 'alwaysdte,' the restaurant offers a unique culinary adventure through its grilled beef and flavorful accompaniments. The lemongrass beef and sugarcane shrimp have received rave reviews, showcasing the restaurant's penchant for balancing rich flavors with fresh ingredients.
Unlike many Vietnamese spots, Anh Hong has carved out a niche for itself by avoiding the overplayed pho, instead offering an array of delicious dishes. The praise for their house-made sausages, as noted by 'JAOCHAIKOB HAN' and 'eun jun,' underlines the authenticity and lasting appeal of the menu. Each dish invites diners to engage with their food, especially highlighted by the vibrant rice paper wraps that 'Mency Woo' joyfully describes, turning a simple meal into a delightful interactive experience.
With attentive service that enhances the dining experience, diners leave Anh Hong with not just a satisfied palate but also a desire to return. As 'Chantal Chips' aptly put it, the 7-course beef is a fulfilling journey of flavors that truly resonates. For those seeking an authentic Vietnamese experience, Anh Hong is an essential destination.

Love it or hate it. I love it because there’s really no other 7 beef course around here. I get ala cart and get the lemongrass beef, sometimes I do shrimp too. I love the sugarcane shrimp! The rice paper egg rolls are really good too! My go-to spot for when I want the grilled beef with rice paper. I only get the 7 course beef when I’m with people who will eat the entire 7 course. Yum

one of a kind Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of San Francisco. No Pho noodle is here but why ask for it when there are tons of good menus to order. I recommend all sausages , they were all tasty.

I never knew that rice paper can be cooked just by dipping into hot water! Wished we had similar stuff at home. Very good meal! I also like to think that I am eating a lot of veggies from the wraps!

I love this place. Only restaurant serving the traditional 7 courses of beef. Our foodie group had a special arrangement with the owner and took over the restaurant for a Sunday luncheon of 80 people. Everybody was happy and enjoyed the experience. The restaurant only opens for dinner. The area is in the tip of Tenderlion and a bit seedy. Street parking is available nearby. The restaurant is clean, service is good.

Indoor dining 4/24/2021. We love this place because you can make your own spring rolls with their provided rice papers. Tonight we had their shrimp rolls on sugar cane, beef carpaccio, huge water prawns, rice beef soup, various sausages. Everything had that authentic Vietnamese flavor. Everyone in my party loved the food and service. Great job everyone at Anh Hong Bo 7 Mon.

This was one of the absolute best dining experiences I've ever had. The food was amazing and our server was fabulous. She walked us through how to eat everything and she was very patient (and funny).
